Positive: Like home!

Beautiful, boho spot in Fernhill Positive: The house itself with the boho decor and beautiful surroundings was absolutely gorgeous. There is a large deck out front to sit and overlook the Lake when its sunny out. It's got a very self-service feel to it. Some friendly doggo's. Large rooms inside to chill if the weather isn't great and the property is quite spread out with a number of cabins dotted around so I'm not actually sure how many people it fits. The hot tubs are a great addition that you can book a spot for around $30. The staff were really nice too. I didn't get to really hang out with them too much as I was there to visit friends who lived nearby Negative: Although the house was absolutely gorgeous and had lovely surroundings and views of Fernhill and Lake Whakatipu, I do think it was far too expensive for what essentially feels like an upmarket hostel. I appreciate Queenstown is pricey and that Ora Retreat was cheaper than other places, but given that this spot was not in town, I think $250 a night for a single bed in a cabin with shared facilities is extortionate.

Beautiful and peaceful Positive: Lovely! Such a welcoming stay, the owners were so friendly and accomodating. They have their beautiful pet dogs too if you need your dog fix whilst away. The cabin I stayed in was cosy and comfortable. The kitchen and communal areas had everything you need. Stunning views over the lake and a convenient location, just out of the busyness of Queenstown but close to bus services that go straight to town. I would stay here again!
