Ora° Springs Retreat Kauri Room

Not what we expected and we left a day early, we were not comfortably and my elderly mother was also not feeling it. ASh Positive: Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was clean and had all the necessary resources. House was also clean and neat. Negative: Shower pressure was virtually zero. Water pressure to bath almost zero and then black stuff comming out of jets. Couldn’t use the bath and could barely shower. This is advertised as a retreat but it’s a regular house in Kamo with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There were no keys to the property and no keys for our room so had to leave our stuff in the car when we went anywhere. The stairs leading up to the loft bed were so steep not suitable for elderly or small children. This should be mentioned.

It has potential but isn’t ready yet. Positive: The location was accurate & convenient. Negative: The house is left unlocked. Our room had a lock, but no key was available. The biggest window was missing curtains so there was no way to block the full moon. The owner said the key issue would be resolved. It wasn’t and he didn’t respond to the curtain problem at all. The downstairs bathroom is newly finished; however, upstairs bathroom is old with carpet in it There were several outlets that didn’t work and missing smoke detectors on the first level. The breakfast was composed of cereal in the pantry, milk, & PBJ. There’s a lot of work left to get it to any standard.
